Transformative Social Change
Preventing Sexual Harassment
Sexual violence and harassment continue to impact post-secondary institutions and male-dominated industries.
- With funding from the Ontario Office of Women’s Issues, we engaged 23 male-dominated faculties and groups from Ontario’s post-secondary sector in training on healthy masculinities, sexual violence prevention and bystander intervention.
- With support from Justice Canada and the involvement of corporate partners, we worked closely with male-dominated private sectors in building innovative, transformative cultures of consent that prioritize the needs and well-being of survivors.
"I really enjoyed the entire workshop. I liked how the presenter spoke about consent in our everyday lives and becoming more aware of how we structure our sentences even when asking about going shopping on a certain day. Our words can come off as demanding or like someone doesn't have a choice. Being more aware of everyday conversations can really help with becoming more aware of sexual violence and harassment. Thank you.''
